Ming's Garden
About This Spot
Stepping into Ming’s Garden feels like entering a quietly comforting corner of Fort Qu’Appelle where familiar warmth and tales of home-cooked meals gently unfold. The subtle hum of a well-loved family restaurant gives way to an unhurried rhythm, where the art of Chinese cooking is crafted with care and traditions are embraced in every carefully plated dish.
This is a place where the pacing suits the patient diner—there’s a soft invitation to pause, to savor the moment as much as the food. The atmosphere is unpretentious, reflecting the family-run spirit noted by many locals who return not just for the flavors but for the genuine kindness that accompanies every order. It’s not about flashy trends or elaborate settings, but rather a steady, reliable presence offering a taste of authentic comfort through familiar favorites and thoughtful touches.
The menu, while centered on takeout, unfolds a palette of experiences in each bite. Whether stirred into a warming bowl of broth or captured in the satisfying chew of crispy, golden chicken, the offerings carry a balanced harmony of textures and aromas that hint at decades of culinary care. Meals arrive generously portioned, encouraging shared enjoyment or leisurely leftovers, each one a quiet nod to hearty, honest cooking.
Ming’s Garden feels intertwined with the community’s everyday moments—people stopping by to pick up dinner after a long day, families gathering across tables with plates brimming with sweet and savory notes, and the gentle familiarity of a place where guests are met with kindness as much as cuisine. It’s the kind of local sanctuary that asks simply for a little patience and returns it in full measure through the comfort of food and connection.

Pricey, but the food is alright. Its only take out which is fine. Will order again. We had ginger beef, war wonton soup, and the meal for 1. The won ton soup only had 2 shrimp in it and not much flavour.
